I am sure this is an age old problem, and one I have had before, but I
cannot find how to solve it.
My set up from error_log:
[Tue Nov 20 14:07:53 2007] [notice] Apache/2.2.4 (Unix) PHP/5.2.1
mod_perl/2.0.3 Perl/v5.8.5 configured -- resuming normal operations
In httpd.conf:
PerlModule ModPerl::Registry
Alias /perl /usr/local/apache2/perl-bin/
<Location /perl>
SetHandler perl-script
PerlResponseHandler ModPerl::Registry
PerlOptions +ParseHeaders
Options +ExecCGI
Order allow,deny
allow from all
</Location>
I have /use/local/apache2/perl-bin/ as so:
drwxrwxr-x 2 apachebi molbiol 4096 Nov 20 14:08 perl-bin
Apachebi and molbiol being the user and group that httpd is running as.
I have /usr/local/apache2/perl-bin/rock.pl as so:
-rwxrwxr-x 1 apachebi molbiol 84 Nov 20 14:02 rock.pl
When I go to http://localhost/perl/rock.pl, Internet Explorer asks me if
I want to download or open the file.
