hey- just saw your post to the modslist regarding this weekend in NYC... there hasn't been much happening here as of late, but there are always the new york staples-- Friday nights are rather quiet--Suite on Avenue A is worth checking out, good music, no cover and fairly cool people. as for saturday, "Tiswas" at Don Hill's is a rather lame britpop night that has live music as well--this week, lucky for you, there are actually some good bands playing: The Realistics, The Mooney Suzuki and The Interpreters. it's $10 cover charge--but if you get in touch with me before Saturday, I can put you on the list. If by chance, you wind up staying until Sunday, you should check out "Shout" at Bar 13.
