The thing I like most about this set is having all the "hits" in a nice portable format - the packaging is insane! It's easy to cart this collection around as opposed to boxes of 45's or LP's. While the 45-like CD cases they used for this are a great idea, the 'sprockets' on the inside of them (that hold the CD in place by its center hole) don't hold very well. Mine slide off every time I take the 'sleeves' out of the box or put them away, and some of the discs have gotten scratched as a result. Pet peevy, I know - I'm all for form over function, but not in music packaging! (Anyone else have this problem or was my box a 'dud'?) The trading cards are too gimmicky - they add weight and cost to an already weighty and costly little package. It's a fun idea but too much like filler for that big box. I'd take a 7th CD to fill up the space rather than some dumb trading cards I'll never use! (I giggle at the thought of people *actually* trading them back and forth). I also snoozed thru the first two discs - way too doo-woppy and bubblegummy for my tastes. But that's just IMHO. So ends my test of this new list server; I went to the Topica.com home page and fiddled with my preferences and really just wanted to see if it worked.
