how familiar this all sounds.
My personal favourite "mod fo hire" debacle was on the set of a
"sixties" mini series. After being paid to ride around behind shot on my
scooter I had a very heated argument with the wardrobe department who
insisted that my suit actually belonged to them and that I should give
it back. The lack of "civvies" to change into didn't sway their argument
at all. Needless to say I was prepared to fight longer and harder than
them and went home fully clothed and quite a bit wiser as I am sure
Brian did. In situations like these, use my favourite line -
"If you touch my hair I'll break your nose"
It works a charm.
