Well well, what an interesting New Year it's going to be on here! I actually for the first time in a while found posted stuff on here worth responding to. First, Dead Jazzmen..that's gotta be the end of the year bad apple, eh? Fret not though, Bluenote is re-releasing alot of the classic stuff by Adderly, Miles, Hancock, Blakely etc, some of it evidently remastered from original tapes, and Verve released a best of Jimmy Smith set recently that's basically done the same thing as Bluenote, exept on the Verve label. On to my other topic, The Pills. If any of you read the music mag The Big Takeover, you'll notice they get a rather favorable review, and there's also an interview with Brian Wilson about his new project, another interview with Joe Strummer, tons of great reviews, and an article on the Bomp label 25th anniversary..a great magazine, but kinda pricey at $4.79! Oh and a word of advice on the Hair thing, if you want it done right, a friend or a barber is always better than a stylist,in most cases.
