Helen,
Mel Brown, who I'm sure you're familiar with from your
Portland years, has recorded on over 100 albums over
the past 40-some years...and given that his name isn't
the most recognizable in jazz...think about guys like
Donald Bailey, Philly Joe Jones, Max Roach, or Shelley
Manne...a lot of these guys were amazingly prolific.
