Now I don't want to start a huge debate here, perhaps just a little
one....but I'm just curious: What purpose does everybody here think, if any,
modernism still has in a postmodern world?
I mean, all this talk about modernism is great and all, but what does
that even mean anymore? Isn't the natural progression of modernism now to
move into the postmodern. The fact that some of the contributors to this
list allow various musics, styles, vehicles, and ideas from past culture
into their current lives could be considered itself a postmodern act,
intentional or not.
Just curious as to what everyone's ideas are...
