interesting to turn your dissertation into a book - there need to be more
mod books. you could probably count all the 'mod' books there are on one
hand (no, that is not a cue for someone to list every book they possess
which has something to do with mod!). i have written a mod novel, about a
mod who reads too many Secret Agent books and thinks he's a spy! note, he
THINKS he is a spy, he IS NOT actually one, the story happens more in his
mind than in what happens around him. if anyone's interested in a copy, let
me know! ALan Fletcher really liked it!
at the moment, i am working on an idea to bring together lots of mod
short-stories in a book (i thought of this before The Shiter Turd came out)
so if any of you have any short stories about mods, let me know!
that whole thing about journalism and mod is so crap! i remember they had
something in a paper once trying despereatley to cash in on the
mod-revival-revival, with pictures of random 'famous' people, who looked not
mod at all, saying 'here's a mod', wihtout explaining why they thought these
people were mods. could it possibly be because the person writing the
article didn't have the faintest idea? the words 'arse' and 'elbow' come to
mind....
