I have to agree. While most subcultures rebel against the
materialism in the scene.. Kids can't help that their parents give
them a lot of loot. So it all goes to shit. Thats why you get weird
juxtapositions of the old gutter punk yelling "Fuck the capitalist
system" with young johnny punk yelling with him. The only difference
is that Joe the old gutter punk smells like shit cause he really did
shit his pants the night before when he nodded off on herion. While
Johnny punk's daddy bought his pants and he just wore them everyday
and never changed his underwear.
Trust fun kids. To be one you must be in an odd position in life.
Always hated because you have money, while no one doesn't.. and in
most cases you don't share it even when it comes down to a 2 dollar
loan for cigs. But you are nice enough to people that no one has
broken your foot off and feed it to your ass yet.
As you go through life you realize that it is actually easier to
attain goals if you have funding. This causes a lot of tension
between those who are struggling to make it.. and those who have
never had to try to make it.. and just sit on the fucking sidewalk
begging for change because they like phish and what to make a
difference in the world.
THen there are the famous SF Trustifarians. The white east coast
hippies that have run away with there funds in order to sit on haight
street.. beg and collect their checks. YOu can tell them apart from
the homeless crack addict by the fact that they are white.. listen to
hippy music, sell pot for ridiculous amounts of money, and have
dreadlocks. Never trust a white man with dreadlocks. Unless he
plays soccer and is sporting that soccer hair thing..
This was about yacht kids right?
Fuck them and their Tommy Hilfiger wearing asses. All I got to say
is 75% of them will grow up to be asshole politicians.
Damn the more I start to think about all the little "Identity" traits
that go with all the different groups of people and cultures.. I
start to realize how lame some of the ideas were. Soccer hair? what
the fuck is that!
Take this with a bit of tongue and cheek.
