Those of you looking for trim fit shirts should check out Lands End. They
have great pinpoint oxford shirts in a multitude of colors. The cloth is
excellent and holds up very well through multiple trips to the cleaners.
Almost all shirts are available in regular or trim fit, and many in long or
regular tails.
Just as important, they have an unconditional money back guarantee. At any
time for any reason (though they are legally barred from mentioning this in
Germany, they will honor it regardless).
You can cut through all the other muck by ordering their catalog "Beyond
Buttondowns". Also of interest in this catalog is a 3/4 white mack.
And the post on Cheap Trick reminded me: the perfect pop song. Cheap Trick
certainly turned out some gems. But my vote for best pop song, potentially
of all time, the one that makes me turn up the radio when I'm driving
cross-country and swerve all over the road bopping and singing, has to be:
"Let's Go" by the Cars.
Its got all the details: the driving beat, the great guitar hook, the catchy
bridge, the verses that build in intensity, the hand claps, the shout-along
chorus, and its SHORT.
Runner up: "In My Own Time" by the Three O'clocks
Any other suggestions from the list?

P.S. All the talk about 80s mod zines has me reminiscing a bit. I bought a
Top Gear from Dan Geddes at Rage in 87 (or was it 88). He was selling them
from a backpack. I remember thinking, "This is the coolest magazine in the
world."
