Shiit! you've just blown my whole cover. I'm not actually a mod and
never have been. See I even spell mod in lower case. I'm merely a hippie in
disguise. I've been fooling a lot of people for a long time. Mind you, could
you tell me off speck what label Edward Hamilton's - Baby Don't You Weep is
on? Or perhaps Tommy Tucker's UK issue of High Heel Sneakers? Or who Tammy
Montgomery on Chess REALLY was? Nah, didn't think so. I suppose we all have
our specialist knowledge.
And anyway, I have no desire to purchase a scooter. I could
probably buy a 'J50' with the money I didn't spend on records. They're more
reliable than a lammy and what's the point of getting around if you don't
know the sounds? And I wouldn't like to imagine my 'bouff' after 3 hours
under a helmet. Give me my 65 Opel Kadett anyday. You can get a truck load
of suits in the back of that! And it's unlikely to break down on the M1. Or
get you wet. It might blow over with a strong gust of wind though!
