This does beg the question, what the hell are you doing here then?

I somehow doubt it. If people are interested (and it remains legal) they'll
keep vehicles on the road. There's already plenty of classic cars and bikes
out there that have probably had every component replaced along the way.
There's a sizable market for conversion body kits to turn more modern
chassis into vintage (style) cars.

You get new mohair suits tailored for you. . . and there are at least two
people on this list making new 'mod' clothes for girls  - i.e. lack of
vintage gear creates a market - like cars - if people are interested in the
style.

Your questions are putting the cart before the horse, or at least supply
before demand.
