Tony, Millie Jackson was a relatively popular soul singer in the mid-to-late 70s, she had an x-rated pro-woman style, sort of a cross between Blowfly and Candi Staton. She started off doing deep Southern soul, but had various flirtings with disco & "quiet storm"-type stuff. She's now doing the "retro-soul" thing, she's recorded a couple of albums for Ichiban in the 90s. Spring Records was based in Nashville, I believe. They also released stuff by Joe Simon, the Fatback Band, Isaac Hayes, Winfield Parker & Gloria Gaynor. --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > I really don't like N.
