sorry i ruffled your feathers by calling the rest of america a cultural 
wasteland. i've been to san fransisco and the west coast in general and 
all i have to say is that the collective i.q. isn't much larger than my 
age, and people are just plain lazy. too much sun i suspect - warped 
their brains of basic intelligence and ambition. that was, however, my 
own experience. 

funny that you picked the aspect out of my post that was the most tongue 
and cheek. i mean how can you actually take the line "new york city is 
the center of the universe..." seriously? it was meant to be taken with 
a grain of salt and was said in jest. 

but, seriously, you couldn't actually be trying to compare the 
importance culturally and historically of san fransisco to new york 
could you? please sit down young man. you're way out of your league.
