Austin Powers anyone?

Sure, I loved the movie to death, but it got very tedious to have
strangers yell "Groovy, baby! Yeeeaaah!" at me from passing cars.

And how about those car commercials with "Won't Get Fooled Again"
pumping up the sales? Okay, okay, so top 40 Who may or may not
be "mod" (I can just imagine the follow up posts to this--shudder)
but still... I wasn't too thrilled hearing the Ramones, or the
Smiths or Cream doing car commercial soundtracks, either. They're
selling nonconformity and the "independent spirit."

There are scooters all over tv ads with go-go Mountain Dew youth
Izone camera owners riding around shoving cans of Pringles at
the camera, with their big white smiles.

I couldn't care less, it gives me something to yell at the tv
screen for when I'm bored. And in 6 months, it'll be all about
a hessian renaissance or somethin. The Gap models will all be
head banging and taking bong hits maybe.
