I know it was only a film, but all this 'are skinheads nazis?' debate has
reminded me of 'AMerican History X'. Now those kids thought they were skins,
ie. shaved head and white power music, and yet there they were wearing baggy
trousers and jailer chains - not exactly skin (hee hee)tight jeans. now, i
have it on authority that the baggy jeans and jailer chain look comes in
part from the black kids in juvenile prisons who adopted the baggy
trousered/chain look. Which showed that the 'skins' in AHX (AAGGGGHHHH!!!!)
either had a dim-witted costume designer - or in fact were rather stupid for
not knowing where their look originated from. And i don't know what bands
they had in that film doing the ol' WP thing - but they didn't half sound
crap!
