Damn it Nipper! I know what it's like goin' through YOUR records shelved
this way - which may be fine for a *only* few thousand LP's, but
ferchrissake, how can you find anything!
On the other, Kartell makes probably the most attractive stackable white
squares that are a perfect fit for LP's vertically, but not a great fit for
your wallet. That make you buy each wall of the square separately, which (if
I remember correctly) easily adds up to a few hundred $ for just a few
cubes.
Now, being that I have no room for exposed wood in my life, my records
remain hideously stored in mis-matched crates (some are those oversized
stock-boy ones that are impossible to lift when full, bad), or the worst
place of all, learning against the wall, protruding outward and constantly
slipping forward like some drunken vinyl caterpillars oozing toward the
center of the room (mind those box set's in back, mak'em hold of of'em up!).
By now I swear I've looked at every goddamn plastics, storage, and furniture
site on the net in the last 2 years and have come empty. All I want is a
white, solid, plastic box, with a lit that can be removed and put on the
bottom or top (for stacking). I can't go into any sort of hardware store w/o
at least glancing around for this sort of thing.
On an even further note, I managed to, ahemrelocate a few of the coolest
boxes I found here at the office that some people were using to ship a new
product. They are average crate-sized, solid red cardboard boxes with the
words EVALUATION COPY written in white on the side of them, I'm happy with
these for now, they make all you records look stolen, or just very, very
important, kinda looks like they were emergency air dropped into your living
room. Really, the simpler you needs, the harder you find yourself to be
satisfied.
Wow, that went on for a while.

P.S. WTF must DJ record boxes look souhgoth? All that brushed aluminum
