I was using definitions from the Oxford English Dictionary (OED).
Different dictionaries actually define these notions in VERY different
ways!
Here are some I found online. They are fairly close to those in the OED.
I do however recommend finding a copy of the OED!!

>From the Cambridge International Dictionary online
narcissism:
Too much interest in and admiration for your own physical appearance
and/or your own abilities.
(notice the ridiculously vague notion 'too much'!)
existentialism:
The modern system of belief made famous by Jean Paul Sartre in the 1940s
in which the world is meaningless and each person is alone and
completely responsible for their own actions, by which they make their
own character.
aesthete (American also esthete):
example - Its ugliness would make an aesthete (=person who understands
and enjoys beauty) like you shudder.
hedonism:
Living and behaving in ways that mean you get as much pleasure out of
life as possible, according to the belief that the most important thing
in life is to enjoy yourself.

As to Matt Bolton's comment...
I couldn't disagree more!
It should be obvious that I do not look upon 'mod' as a sub-culture or
cult. I've stated that here before in fact!
I generally prefer the term 'modernist' precisely because historically
it has the correct connotations.
'Mod' DID become a cult and hence that term is mis-leading in a sense as
it means so many things nowadays.
I still like the word (abbreviation) however and will continue to use it
regardless!
All the best,
Paul Secular
