No, you're an ex-mod, or someone interested in mod. Both of which aren't bad things,
and of course anyone with an interest in mod should be here. I don't know about
"feeling too old for a scooter"...perhaps a fully modded out one maybe, but there are
MANY MANY non-mod/normal people here in SF that ride Vespas (and sometimes
Lambrettas) as commuter vehicles on a daily basis. They don't know (or care) about
mod stuff. Been to a rally lately? It's MUCH different than 10-15 years ago.
Hardly a mod or skin in sight. That used to be the entire crowd! Now it's been taken
over by the average Johnny goofball and the rallies have suffered as a result.
Usually really LAME music played. So, I don't know where you live, maybe in Ohio
a scooter driven by an adult would be laughed at...but not here. I ride my GS
to work every day, and frankly all I ever get is Yuppies asking where they can buy one.
Seriously.

As far as calling yourself a mod...who cares? Call yourself Jesus Christ if you want.
I never called myself a mod even when I used to wear a parka with patches and have
mirrors all over my bike. Most people would say I'm not one now. Does it matter?
At least I know what I'm talking about. Banana Republic (Gap) and Cast are NOT
mod in my book, but I don't care if you like them. Just don't pull the old "force-fit"
that is so common around here. "I like the Who but I also like Metallica, and I'm a
mod,
so therefore Metallica is mod..."
