Went to a Northern Soul discussion at last year's In The City in
Liverpool and loved Phil Saxe's attitude towards Ian Levine. Although it
was a big wind up it was still a great thing to say :

Ian : "Phil, you'd be made up if your daughter came home and said 'I've
disovered Northern Soul dad'"

Phil : "No I wouldn't, I'd say 'go out and find your own fuckin' music'"

I don't mind playing younger kids me old records (and often boring the
arse off them with them) but I've never though of them as missing
anything.
