Well, I suppose that's valid. Another possiblity is that a lot of people don't actually know the difference between your and you're. They say two completely different things, so how is that getting your point across? Not to be pedantic, but I consider language to be a fairly important part of the web and what makes it so special. I'm certainly not the most perfect speller or Captain Grammar (you should see the costume), but I find that a basic 8th grade understanding of the rules of grammar really goes a long way in helping one communicate better.
