Honustly, I've never taken any formal art appreciation classes, I just go to art
museums, read books, etc. I TAed for a graphic design class in high school because
that was my former future goal, and I still occupy myself with photography when I have
the time/money. I am a science major, incidentally.

something from a humanities class about modernism in art being the whole after cubism,
de stijl type stuff in the middle 20th century: Malevich, ect.? maybe I'm wrong. maybe
