I didn't see any soinning, but yeah, NYC has some nice surprises.
Checked out the Serge Gainsburg tribute night at The Cooler on Friday, the
13th and boy was it packed. (thanx for the tip Soundviews.) Some of the
bands were a little cheeseball, and the first that played, a bit costumey
for my taste, but all in all a good night. That weekend we also visited
Idylwild, an airline bar, that was very cute, and apparently the guy from
Foo Fighters was djying, (not a terribly original set: 80s ie, Blondie and
Stone Roses) but whatever.
Sunday, checked out Shout! quite a lot of soul, but then they really got
things going with some garage and beat. Plus, we'll be featured in a soon to
come Scootering issh. woo hoo!
Talk soon,
Leenda Karina
