I have a CD of the first Blossom Toes LP 'We Are Ever So Clean' and an original 45 of "What On Earth". I really dig this record with it's mix of toytown psych and freaked out Carnaby pop! I haven't really heard much of the later recordings, the problem is that Blossom Toes recordings in general aren't the easiest to come by, and the CDs usually cost around $25. I did see that 2CD comp that you speak of a few years back, but it was too expensive. It sounds like a real hack job to me. The recent CDs that are out are 'The Psychedelic Sounds of The Blossom Toes Vloumes 1 & 2', which are basically their two LPs. BTW I too noticed that the tracks on Chocolate Soup Vol. 2 were mixed way too fast and if you don't have an adjustable turntable it sounds like you're playing the record at 38 RPMs, they could have done a better job.
