Stripes are headlining the filmore next weekend. That rocks. It rolls.I encourage
anyone who hasn't heard them to go. To hear a two piece explode in such a rock'n'roll
frenzy is truly unusual. You hear a bit of Lightnin in them, a bit of Kinks, a bit of
Yardbirds, but its as authentic as underground blues rock can be these days. They've
got that "twenty something american white kid takes on the soul of an old delta blues
man then drops some reds and buries every 'mod' rock band to come before" sound. None
of that SRV-wanna be, Gary Moore, Johnny Lang, ect "white electric blues" crap. Go
check'em out.
