I think it's virtually impossible! Tho' somehow they managed in the 60's!
Part of the reason why i cut my hair short was because bouffants get a bit
unwieldly if your hair is long. i pinned up the back, Audrey-style, but my
hair is so thick and heavy it caused me pain!
Perhaps try some kind of implant, no not silicon. like, padding.

Long is good, short is difficult.
I personally feel it's because it's so difficult to find a haridresser who
can cut the shorter style properly. I'd love to have a 5-point, but i don't
trust any hairdresser! (ok, there's some mod ones about, but not where i
live!). Bobs are 'safe' because most hairdressers can do them (but once or
twice i've had bad bobs, even. Once i asked for the back to be clipped for a
graduated bob, and they nearly shaved me bald!!!!)
if the hair's long, you can style it at home more easily.
Actually, if your hair's really long, you can pin it all up and it looks
like a bouffant - Tinx does it, and it looks great!

I can sympathise! I keep changing my mind too!

i think that's the problem, some hairdos look great on some people, but
probably not on me! Also, you've got to find a good hairdresser who knows
what you're talking about. i always thought my hair was straight, but when i
had it really short, it was full of waves! very disturbing experience...

Exactly - and the right hairdresser! I think we'd all like to have our hair
cut by Vidal Sassoon! IMAGINE how COOL tht would be!

Hmmm. I spose the black bob is a bit cloney. the only thing is, with the bob
being such a sharp cut, having it all one colour makes it look sharper. I
actually find that dying my hair makes it healthier - much softer and
glossy! i can't really go any colour other than black. at the moment i've
got highlights in my hair, which i had in for the 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'
look when my hair was longer. the problem is, they look a bit ordinary in a
bob!
Actually, I should be compiling all this for an article, seeing as i do
female fashion on uppers.net. A piece on how girls do their hair would be
very interesting!
If you'd like to help out, just e-mail me off list with your hair
'experiences' and any pics you may have of your hair....
PS: Sorry this message is a bit over-long, but it's so nice to be able to
talk about style now on the modslist!
