I'm a singer looking to form a new band in LA and I'm looking for a lead
guitarist to co-form the band with me. How about an end to this dull
'canyon rock' sound that's permeating the clubs? Let's do something with
guts and visual flair where people remember the tunes after the show. I
have great lyrics and the melodies to go with them. You're a gifted axe-man
(or axe-woman) who writes music and has a strong understanding of songcraft
and (hopefully) recording . Influences should include the Alice Cooper
Group, Iggy & The Stooges, Mott the Hoople, T. Rex, NY Dolls, Gary Glitter,
David Bowie, MC5, the early Amboy Dukes, Love, Kinks, Pretty Things, Who,
Troggs, Syd's Pink Floyd, Stones, Faces, Roxy Music and Eno, Talking Heads,
Velvet Underground, 60s pop & bubblegum, 70s glam and proto-punk. I'm in my
mid-twenties, you should be under 30. If this sounds like what you're
