Are you talking about that Britpop cash-in on the sudden surgence of
interest in the music of the Small Faces? I think it was 'Long Agoes
and Worlds Apart' which was pretty bad with the exception of Primal
Scream's version of "Understanding" featuring PP Arnold on vocals, and a
pretty decent version of "Become Like You" by a band whom I don't even
know their name. Other than that it was a pretty bad comp as a whole,
and I refused to buy it at the time of it's release and I still don't
have it. I felt they should have added some mod bands at the time, but
now I look back upon it and maybe it was good that those bands had no
involvement with the project. I have to say that I did see Ocean Colour
Scene on their last tour and they have improved on their cover of "Song
of a Baker", which is on that as well, over the years because the
version they pulled off at the show was quite remarkable!
