to WARSAW At The Polish National Home.  This is a room with a view and 
without a doubt- the very best rock'n' roll hall in NYC's 5 boroughs and

CAVESTOMP!2001-"A Garage Rock Oddity!" is shocked to present THE 
ELECTRIC 
PRUNES: IT'S WHAT'S HAPPENING!  VOX gear poster boys THE ELECTRIC PRUNES 
with 
original Prunes James Lowe- vocals, guitar, harmonica and Mark Tulin- 
bass 
guitar with Ken Williams- lead guitar * Joe Dooley- drums * Mark Moulin- 

rhythm guitar * and Cameron Lowe- keyboards.  

THE BRITISH ARE COMING!  It's a veritable British invasion and leading 
the charge are THE DOWNLINERS SECT with founder, rhythm guitarist/ lead 
vocalist and deerstalker wearing head honcho Don Craine and original 
bassist Keith Evans.  THE SECT-ion is rounded out by Paul Martin- 
harmonica/ sax, who has been with the band since 1976. During the 60's 
he was with the Black Cat Bones who also featured Paul Kossoff and Simon 
Kirke (later of Free).  Al Brooks- drums and Del Dwyer- lead guitar, 
have been with The Sect since 1989 and were originally with late 60's 
group the Barrier.  With special guest appearance by ART WOOD of... (you 
guessed it!) THE ARTWOODS.  Plus the ONLY east coast appearance of BILLY 
CHILDISH and his new combo, appropriately named after England's most 
beloved and coveted cock (that's of the bird variety, kids)... THE BUFF 
MEDWAYS!  Also stringwreckers THE WAISTCOATS and kicking things off... 
Billy Miller of Norton Records' own personal faves... THE WILDEBEESTS! 

SUNDAY, NOV. 4TH:

BIFF! BANG!! POW!!!  CAVESTOMP!2001-"A Garage Rock Oddity!" is proud to 
announce this years FESTIVAL HEADLINER THE CREATION with original 
members Eddie Phillips and Bob Garner.  Eddie and Bob will be supported 
on bass by Creation fan/close friend Tony Barber, whose day job is 
guitarist in The Buzzcocks.  And... some drummer.  To quote Eddie: "Our 
aim for the gig will be to get as close as possible to 1967.  We did the 
painting on a large screen 8' by 6' which is basically just a wooden 
frame with white paper stretched over it, and plenty of aerosols!!   We 
can then either 'burn it' or you can frame it for the Club!!  Only 
joking !!!  I will also do the legendary violin bow thingy!!  NOT 
joking!!!"

THE SATELLITERS.  Additional 3 bands for Sunday to be announced...

OH YEAH!  WHAT ABOUT FRI. NOV. 2ND?:

We're still hammering out headliner details but one thing you can count 
on is a whole lotta' surf & turf with LOS STRAITJACKETS and special 
guest vocalist BIG SANDY!  (With support like this, you know that the 
headliner's gonna' be a grabber!)  Additional 3 bands for Friday to be 
announced...of which the lead off band will be Little Steven's 
CAVESTOMP! Battle Of The Bands winner (gulp!) sponsored by The WIZ.  

VINYL BY DAY LIVE BY NIGHT!... CAVESTOMP!2001 Nov. 2,3,4 is the same 
weekend as The WFMU-FM Fall Record Fair.
