Greetings fellow modslisters!
Question: Does anyone know anything about a group called The Golden Toadstools? As far
as I know, they released one single called "Silly Savage," a burning organ jam from
1966 (I think). Brilliant record. It's track one, side one of Keb Darge's Legendary
Deep Funk Vol. 2 comp.
Anyway, I heard that these guys were studio guys from Florida and that the band might
have been mixed (a' la Booker T & The MGs). Any info on the group would be
appreciated. Thanks.
Also, does anyone know of any soul/mod events happening in NYC on Thursday nights?
