This is my fourth build of apache + mod_ssl + mod_perl, following the
instructions very closely only trying the optional steps in different
places. I am trying to get it going with a certificate/key pair that has run
for months without a problem in ApacheSSL. Apart from the problems specified
in a recent post "Error moving from ApacheSSL" I have noticed the following:

[root@server bin]# ./apachectl configtest
Syntax error on line 1127 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf:
Invalid command 'SSLEngine', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not
included in the server configuration

This line is inside a virtual server definition that specifies port 443, the
command is "SSLEngine on" and the syntax check finds no problem with any of
the main server's SSL configuration directives.

Why oh why?
