On your request a replication of my original CVS repository is now publically
available through the RSYNC service on sw.engelschall.com. This is for users
with special requirements and especially for those who participate in the
source development of mod_ssl. I've created a short document under

  http://www.engelschall.com/sw/mod_ssl/distrib/repos.html

which explains how to establish your local CVS repository copy and what
important parts you find in the mod_ssl development tree. This way those of
you who want to keep their local modifications in a handy way up-to-date or
want to create patches for mod_ssl the easy way now can use CVS and a checked
out working area of mod_ssl to accomplish this task.

Let it me know when you need more hints or any help with the repository.
But I assume you're already familiar with CVS-based development, of course.
When you don't know CVS, then this service is not for you ;-)

Greetings,
                                       Ralf S. Engelschall
