This is what im running..
Bog standard RedHat 5.2 with all the errata

perl-5.004m7-1
apache-mod_ssl-1.3.6-2.2.6-1 (based on the replay rpm)
mod_perl-1.19-1
SSLeay-0.9.0b.KSI2-5

Basically, perl programs with modules running as cgi's like normal work
fine, but when I load certain modules in the httpd.conf it seg faults.

Ie..
I put in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

PerlRequire /tmp/blah.pl

In that.. I put

#!/usr/bin/perl

print("hello world\n");

That works fine..

If I add "use strict;"
that works fine....

If I added say "use AnyDBM_File;"
Seg faults..
Or use MD5, or many other modules...
Seg faults..

Try apache by itself with mod_perl... perfect..

This happenes with apache. 1.3.4 and 6
mod_perl 1.1.15 and up
Version of SSLeay makes no difference..
I've tried this with perl-5.004m4-1 and perl-5.004m7-1

One combination I do have this working on (And in production) is
mod_perl-1.16-1 (that I built)
apache-mod_ssl-1.3.3-2.1.0-1 (Again I built)
perl-5.004m4-1
SSLeay-0.9.0b-3

I was just trying to get the latest apache and mod_ssl stuff working so we
have an upgrade path.. but were stuck on these versions because this is
the only compbination that works..

Any ideas???

I have all the i386 and SRC rpm's up for most of these modules on a web
site so someone can try and reproduce this bug..
