Hi, Im trying to reinstall mod-ssl 2.2.8 onto apache 1.3.6 on a Linux 2.2.5 system (RedHat 6) for the second time. This first time it ran through so smoothly i thought i must have done something wrong .. but it worked and i connected using https:// etc etc .. So to try everything again i deleted /usr/local/apache and all the unpacked tar dirs and tried again. Now, when i come to the end and 'make certificate type=custom' i get the following error: ______________________________________________________________________ STEP 6: Generating X.509 certificate signed by own CA [server.crt] Certificate Version (1 or 3) [3]: Signature ok subject=....all the stuff i typed in Getting CA Private Key Verify: matching certificate & key modulus read RSA private key Verify: matching certificate signature ../conf/ssl.crt/server.crt: ....all the stuff i typed in error 7 at 0 depth lookup:certificate signature failure ______________________________________________________________________ But this worked the first time .. has it stored the signature somewhere? if so where? .. i think i should have learned the first time .. if it isnt broken .. etc etc Thanks Alistair ----------------------------------------------------- Get free email from CMP at http://www.cmpnetmail.com/ ______________________________________________________________________ Apache Interface to OpenSSL (mod_ssl) www.modssl.org User Support Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] Automated List Manager [EMAIL PROTECTED]
