When starting my server with httpd -DSSL I get the following error message from
the ssl_error-log:
[crit] (2)No such file or directory: mod_ssl: Failed to read private key file
/etc/httpd/ssl.crt/server.crt
[error] SSLeay: error:0906D06C:PEM routines:PEM_read_bio:no start line
This happened when I used the test snakeoil keys and crts and when I used some
genuine
files created by my server.
The files are all readable by the webserver user as are the dirs they are
contained in.
This was done with the SSLCertificateKeyFile /etc/httpd/ssl.key/server.key
commented out
If I use that, I get a clean startup, but when I use the genuine certificate
where the key is supposed to be included it doesn't work either.
My question mainly is, can I extract a server key from the certificate?
Thank's in advance for any help
