Hi,

I don't know for Open Linux but in Debian it's very simple: you just install
the ssh package. It creates the server keys as needed and starts the daemon.

Then ssh ist just a replacement for telnet with additional options.
There is an ssh client written in Java at
http://www.mindbright.se/mindterm/ that runs on many platforms, it can even
be used as an applet.

Apache and ssh aren't linked in any way but they can be used together
without problems. It's even possible to use ssh as a "secure tunnel" to your
server if you don't want to (or can't) use SSL.
