Full_Name: H D Moore Version: 2.4.5 OS: Linux (tried libc5 AND glibc2) Submission from: cs2890-247.austin.rr.com (24.28.90.247) After following the compilation instructions to the T to compile apache 1.3.9 with mod_ssl and php3, as soon as I start apache (with or without SSL), the mian httpd process does not spawn its children. The result for the client side is that they connect to the server and send their request, and get nothing back, it just hangs. Debugging the httpd executable itself trying to figure this out has led me nowhere. The process fork()'s and I am guessing the child exits immediately. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
