That's because the OpenSSL mailing lists are handled by the same machine and
these mailing lists cause really lots of traffic and delays in the MTA. The
second reason why a mail can be delayed longer than an hour is that it is
posted from an address which is not directly the subscribers address. Then
it's bounced to the admin account of Majordomo and waits until I approve it
manually once per day. This handling is to prevent any spam mails on
modssl-users.
