I think you should first compile your httpd using Apache1.3.9 + mod_ssl +
openssl and then add any other modules like mod_perl, mod_php etc. with DSO
support.

Hello,
I have what I hope is a simple problem. I've been using mod_ssl with apache
and
mod_perl on redhat linux very successfully for many months. I've recently
upgraded to redhat dist. 6.1, and also upgraded to apache 1.3.9/modperl
1.21/mod_ssl-2.4.9.
Apache and mod_perl built fine and works well. I added mod_ssl to the
apache distribution, built that, and everything seemed to go just fine.
Now, when start httpd with the apachectl startssl, it gets as far as:
Server www.octavo.com:8023 (RSA)
...and that's it. In fact, my shell crashes, I can't ctrl-c out of
it or anything. Without activating the SSL engine, everything seems fine
with
httpd.
Any insights? Thanks!
