Hello:
I'm having a problem getting mod_ssl working on the Japanized version of
Red Hat 6.1 (with updates). I downloaded the following RPM's from
ftp.zedz.net in /crypto/redhat/i386:
apache-mod_ssl-1.3.6.2.3.0-0.i386.rpm
apache-mod_ssl-devel-1.3.6.2.3.0-0.i386.rpm
openssl-0.9.4-3.i386.rpm
openssl-devel-0.9.4-3.i386.rpm
Did an "rpm -Uvh apache-mod_ssl-* openssl-*" to install. I then started
the httpd service and tried to browse to my machine:
http://my.machine.name/
I got a congratulatory "It worked!" message. I then tried browsing to
https://my.machine.name/ and Netscape informs me that the site has a new
certificate from Snake Oil...so obviously the supplied test certificate is
working.
I tell Netscape to accept the certificate and continue, after which I am
presented with a dialog box saying, "A network error occurred while
Netscape was receiving data. (Network Error: Broken pipe). Try
connecting again."
A quick check of my /var/logs/httpd/error_log revealed:
[Tue Feb 8 11:42:24 2000] [notice] child pid 1701 exit signal
Segmentation fault (11)
Any idea why this is happening?
