First time newbie should read this as I just went throuh it: I made a server.key file. I made a server.csr file. I make a test server.crt file. My server works and I applied for a Thawte cert with my server.csr file....... A week later my server won't work. Ah... my test certificate expired!! I made a server.key file. I made a server.csr file. I make a test server.crt file. My server works again and later I finally get a Thawte cert and place it over my server.crt file. My server doesn't work because I've Re-made the server.key and server.csr files since I applied for a Thawte certificate.
