As usual, you need to make sure that your PHP i compiled with EAPI
support.
If you use Red Hat Linux, then you may just grab the latest
apache-mod_ssl package from www.modssl.org/contrib/ and add at least one
of the packages from http://fsr.ku.dk/people/troels/rpms/php/
