arin are the people that you can beg with......they won't give them to you
for the simple reason you need to provide them with data that proves you
need them......i think that you need to show 75% of ip's taken before
they'll let you buy more...but i may be mistaken.
if your trying to buy from arin - you can't get one class C..you can only
get /16 (4028 or so ip's)...one /16 costs about 5k a year plus routing
costs.....
however, your up link provider should be able to provide you with a whole
class C with routing for a fee....
are you planning on running DNS? if not than you probably won't be able to
get a whole C, to yourself you probably get extra ip's.....if you are
planning on running DNS make sure that you have the book DNS and BIND in
your hand.....and make sure that you know your TCP/IP networking
too.....there's a lot of stuff that i didn't cover....but that's what they
make books and HOW-TO's for :-)
