Hopefully someone can answer this. I'm running Oracle 9ias which comes
with the apache listener. I have modified the httpd.conf file and my
site is up and running. The dilema is, now I want to install a Thawte
128 bit certificate for ssl. Using the openssl genrsa command I am able
to generate a key with no problem. The problem is when I try to generate
the csr, here is the exact code used, note FQDN=fully qualified domain
name:
c:\oracle\ora9ias\apache\open_ssl\bin>openssl req -new -key
c:\oracle\ora9ias\apache\open_ssl\bin\FQDN.key > FQDN.csr "enter"
The machine returns this:
Using configuration from /usr/local/ssl/openssl.cnf
unable to load config info
Enter PEM Passphrase:
I have checked and I do not have a file called openssl.cnf or a
/usr/local/ssl/ folder . I have used all of the sites available at
Thawte, including their online support. I have posted questions to
Oracle. I have not been able to find anyone who knows how to resolve
this. Do I need the file openssl.cnf??? If so, where do I get it??? Is
my syntax correct?? Do I need to specify the entire file location string
in the command(i have tried without it and get the same thing)???
HELLLLLLP!!!!!!
