I trust you know that releasing under the same name would be marked as an unauthorized release by the indexer, unless you manage to convince the original author or the PAUSE Admins to grant you that namespace.
I suggest you first name the module something like, Term::Info::More to indicate that it is Term::Info with some additional features.
