Did you see John Gamble's reply?Can you try uploading a 0.50 that goes past the clashing 0.49? Your Math::Cephes upload apparently never made it to CPAN and you didn't entirely read the message from the indexer?
Frankly, the "underlying issue" is most likely NOT in PAUSE (or CPAN). --Steffen
