normal() today puts a "v" on.  Apparently that isn't Test::YAML::Meta
friendly (yet) and "v" causes issues for Debian, so some people were
thinking to just strip the "v" off -- that was thrust of the original
post that started these 100+ message threads.

Thus, belt and suspenders.  Would it be better if I described it as a
checksum?  Leading "v" AND two separators (period or the hated
underscore).  If either gets omitted by a faulty emitter or mangled by
some other downstream tool, consumers can still deal and figure out
what was intended.
