I agree.  I stopped reading ricardo13's responses some time ago.

Even if Gmail is responsible (I don't I have these problems on my
account), following proper email etiquette (ex. only including directly
relevant information in the response) and manually indicating the
responses with >, >>, etc. would fix the problem.
