Directory and logging options per request

Hi all,
I'm trying to write my first apache2 module, and I want 
to know, (how) is it possible to alter Directory(AllowOverride, 
Options[FollowSymLinks, Indexes]) options at runtime from a module?
Are there any examples for this?
