rationale:
This module is similar to Net::Printer in that it connects directly
to a BSD-style line printer daemon. But there the similarity ends.
Net::LPR allows essentially any action or feature that is not
expressly forbidden in RFC1179. There is no CPAN module that
currently has this built-in flexibility (otherwise I'd be using it,
believe me!!!).
